Privacy policy
Niyu Stock Insights is a Shopify app made by Niyu Labs. This policy explains what the app reads from your store, what it keeps, and how to have it removed. Last updated 3 October 2026.
What the app reads
- Products and variants: title, SKU, price, cost per item, status, tags and image.
- Inventory: on-hand, committed and incoming quantities per location.
- Orders: for each order line, the variant, quantity sold, price and order date. The app does not request or read customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses.
What the app stores
- The analysis results for each product variant (stock status, sales rate, value at risk, recommended action, ABC/XYZ class).
- Your threshold settings.
- The access token Shopify issues so the app can read your store.
Orders themselves are never stored: they are read during an analysis, summarised per variant and discarded. The app stores no personal information about your customers.
What the app does not do
- It never changes anything in your store; all of its access is read-only.
- It does not sell, share or rent your data, and does not use it for advertising.
- It does not send your data to any third party apart from its hosting providers (Render and Neon).
Where data is kept
The app runs on Render and stores its data in a managed PostgreSQL database from Neon, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Oregon). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Deletion
When you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us and everything kept for your store is deleted within 48 hours. You can also ask for deletion at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data. Because the app holds no customer personal data, customer data requests from Shopify are answered with “no data held”.
